OUR Y IS PROUD TO SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITIES

The YMCA is proud to support vital programs for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, helping participants improve strength, mobility, and overall quality of life. Through specialized fitness classes, supportive community environments, and dedicated staff, these programs empower individuals to stay active, build confidence, and maintain independence.

The YMCA provided over 150 free swim lessons to youth through generous community support, helping children of all backgrounds build confidence and essential water safety skills. With sponsorship from local partners, these lessons ensured more kids had the opportunity to learn how to swim and stay safe around water while gaining lifelong confidence.

At the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA Summer Camp, a shy young camper named Brady began his first experience with uncertainty, until he met a caring counselor who helped him feel welcome and supported. Through games, teamwork, and encouragement, Brady grew in confidence, built friendships, and discovered the joy of participating and trying new things. The experience became a powerful example of how YMCA camp fosters belonging, confidence, and lifelong positive memories for every child.
