Youth Art Club 

Are you creative and can sit drawing for hours? Are you interested in learning new techniques when painting and crafting? Then this is the club for you!

AGES: 6-12
WHEN: Tuesdays, 5:30pm-6:30pm 
COST: Members: $40 per month / Non-Members: $80 per month

STEAM at the Peter Blum Family YMCA  

Young Engineers STEM Enrichment Program 

The Young Engineers' program helps improve fine motor skills, visual-spatial skills, creative thinking, social skills, and so much more! Children ages 4-13 can participate in a unique award-winning program that is aimed at inspiring young minds and nurturing a spirit of innovation. 

Big Builders (4-6 year-olds) 
Engineers will use large size K`Nex "bricks" to construct movable machines, models of living creatures and structures emphasizing geometric shapes. 
WHEN: Fridays 3:30pm - 4:15pm or
Saturdays 10am - 10:45am
8 weekly classes, 45-minute sessions
COST: $85 Y members/ $110 Non-members
*Each child receives a building kit at the start of each session. 

Bricks Challenge (7-13 years old) 
Engineers will use brand new Lego product, ALGOBRIX, that teaches them intuitive hands-on coding. 
WHEN: Fridays 4:30pm - 5:30pm or
Saturdays 11am - 12pm
8 weekly classes, 60-minute session
COST: $110 Y members/ $135 Non-members

Students will learn to code in 3 simple steps:

  1. Build a LEGO model
  2. Build a line of code
  3. Press the play button

*Saturday classes are recommended for NEW students.

VEX (7-10 years old)
The VEX curriculum is a snap-together robotics curriculum designed to teach algorithmic thinking, abstraction, problem-solving, and pattern recognition. 
WHEN: Wednesdays 4pm-5pm
COST: $145 for members/ $175 for Non-Members
