DONATION EXPANDS YMCA TEEN SCHOLARSHIP FOR AT RISK TEENS

At age 75, Marci Shatzman learned how to swim with the help of instructors at the Peter Blum Family YMCA. Through supportive lessons, she gained confidence in breathing, floating, and basic swim techniques, proving it’s never too late to learn. Her experience highlights the importance of YMCA programs and financial assistance that make life-saving swim lessons accessible to all.

The YMCA of South Palm Beach County partners with Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) to provide financial assistance for families in need, helping children attend summer camp. Through this support, families like Claudia’s have been able to give their children enriching, safe, and memorable camp experiences filled with activities, friendships, and growth.

The YMCA of South Palm Beach County reopened its Chase’s Place Inclusive Center after renovations to better serve individuals with diverse needs. The center offers adaptive programs focused on motor skills, communication, and social development in a supportive environment. Funded by community support and donors, the upgrades aim to remove barriers and create inclusive opportunities for children, teens, and adults of all abilities.
