Supporting Youth Leadership Programs at the Y

This past summer, 21 members of our YMCA’s Teen Leaders Club attended Blue Ridge Leaders School located in Black Mountain, NC. Leaders School offers a unique opportunity for teens to form new friendships, collaborate, and learn together.
Throughout the high-energy, fun-packed week, teens participate in a series of classes designed to help them become future YMCA professionals by enhancing character development and leadership skills.
Attending teens describe they have been impacted by the “magic” of the mountain and return home with a different perspective on life and a renewed passion for the Y. As a YMCA, we are dedicated to supporting and empowering youth for a better tomorrow.
