What to expect at Y Youth Sports:

At the Y, we are doing our best to run Youth Sports as safely as possible while following CDC guidelines and enhanced safety procedures. Contact your local branch Sports Director with any questions. 

 

Basketball (ages 3-17)

Did you know that basketball was founded at the Y? Young athletes learn the fundamentals of the game while building their confidence as well as valuable lessons in teamwork and leadership.

Coaches Meeting- TBD, Parents Meeting- TBD
 

Parents meeting will be held virtually prior to the start of each season. It is crucial to attend these meetings to ensure you receive all the important information to get the most out of each season. 


Soccer (ages 3-17)

A progressive program, participants learn basic soccer skills through games and activities associated with weekly practices.

Volleyball (ages 8-17)

Serving up fun! Youth volleyball provides an introduction to the popular sport invented at the YMCA. Participants will learn the rules and develop the skills in the areas of bumping, serving, and setting.

Lil' Sluggers (T-Ball)

The perfect way to activate toddlers (ages 2-5) motor skills in a safe and fun environment! Young players learn how to catch, throw, and bat from a tee.  

WHEN: Sundays
AGE 2: 9:30am - 10:15am
AGE 3: 10:30am -11:15am
AGES 3.5-4: 11:30am - 12:15pm
AGES 4-5: 8:30am - 9:15am

Whether new to the sport or not quite ready for tackle football yet, Y flag football is a great alternative for ages 5-12. Participants learn basic rules, skills, and strategies in a non-competitive environment.


Cheerleading

Do you have spirit? Participants build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships. Learn the fundamentals in a safe, encouraging environment. The Squad cheers on Youth Sports programs weekly.
