Y AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS ENSURE SAFETY AND SUCCESS FOR YOUTH

Twenty-one teens from the YMCA’s Teen Leaders Club attended Blue Ridge Leaders School, where they built friendships, developed leadership skills, and gained new perspectives. The experience empowers youth to grow personally and become future leaders, reinforcing the YMCA’s commitment to developing the next generation.

Nearly 50 teens and volunteers from Palm Beach attended the YMCA’s Christian Values Conference in North Carolina, joining hundreds of peers for a week of connection, activities, and personal growth. The inclusive event combines fun experiences with faith-based discussions, encouraging teens to build friendships, strengthen their values, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Terri Baldwin, a longtime swim instructor at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA, is known for her personalized teaching approach and dedication to helping others succeed in the water. After facing serious health challenges, including cancer, she was supported by the YMCA community and returned to continue doing what she loves. Her story highlights resilience, compassion, and the strong sense of support within the Y.
