When a child faces a challenge – big or small – the YMCA of South Palm Beach County is ready to be part of the solution. One local family shares how Peter Blum Family YMCA became the village their son needed in all kinds of ways.

Back in 2019, my family and I were introduced to a place that would become a cornerstone in our lives—the YMCA, affectionately known as "The Y". My friends often spoke about the Y with enthusiasm, praising its welcoming atmosphere and the convenience of childcare, allowing them to focus on their fitness goals.

This past summer at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA Summer camp, a shy six-year-old boy named Brady embarked on his first adventure in day camp. With nervousness, Brady arrived at camp, unsure of what lay ahead. Every day seemed daunting until he met Travon, a YMCA counselor with a warm smile.
