It’s never too late to get fit!
Meet Boca Raton Y member, Ann Bernstein. At age 64, she decided to take control of her health and with willpower and some help from the YMCA, she eventually lost over 100lbs. As Ann explains, it’s never too late to get fit!
“Becoming a Nana gave me the drive to make changes in my health – if I wanted to be a participant in my grandson’s life. My daily fitness routine at the Y had not only rendered me pain-free, but sharpened my mental activity, memory and cognitive processing. The obvious changes in my body are actually just the perks. I continue to be surprised daily by my increased mobility, energy and stamina!”
The YMCA offers numerous ways for members to get (and stay) healthy – from individualized personal training sessions, to group fitness classes such as Zumba®, Indoor cycling, Aqua aerobics, to Boot camp classes and small group trainings held in our Performance Training Area. There is truly something for everyone at the Y!
Ann adds, “I appreciate the Y for giving me an inspiring and positive environment to help me in my journey. The Y staff is motivating, professional and supportive. That is why I have continued to be a Y member since 2013!”
