The Chase Donoff program, otherwise known as “Chase’s Place”, is located in the Peter Blum Family YMCA in Boca and provides an inclusive, enriching, instructional and recreational experience for children, teens and adults with diverse needs and abilities. The program is designed to promote motor skills, communication structure, kids abilities and preferred activities, and offers a unique, quality experience for individuals in a safe environment. Activities in Chase's Place include numerous inclusion opportunities.
We serve all abilities. Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Pica, Down syndrome, Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Speech Delay, SID (Sensory Integration Disorder), RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder), GLUT 1 DS, etc.
Chase's Place provides the following care for individuals with special needs ages 5-22:
- After School care programs
- School break camps (winter, spring break, and summer)
- “Fun Days” (days off from school)
- Weekend respite care opportunities
Registration must be IN PERSON at the Boca Raton Y. Spots are limited.
The DeVos-Blum Family YMCA in Boynton now offers Adaptive Camp program, which provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where children with diverse abilities can explore new interests, build meaningful friendships, and create lasting memories.
Through swimming, outdoor adventures, games, creative activities, and hands-on experiences, campers are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and important social skills in a safe and supportive setting. Each day is thoughtfully designed to ensure that every child feels valued, included, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Adaptive Aquatics
The YMCA of South Palm Beach County also offers an Adaptive Aquatics program including swim lessons and water safety education. The program is designed to support individuals with diverse abilities and families enrolled will receive individualized care and attention.
Chase’s Place would not be possible without the generosity of the late Craig and Judi Donoff. The Donoffs helped create the program in honor of their autistic son, Chase, who (at the time) had to travel more than 30 miles after school to attend a program that would meet his needs. The Donoffs established a $500k fund at the Peter Blum Family YMCA for Chase’s Place because they saw firsthand the need for such programs for young people with special needs and their families.
