The Partners with Youth Scholarship program
provides financial assistance to underserved and low-income families
participating in YMCA programs and/or membership.
Scholarship applications are available at the
YMCA’s facilities and everyone is offered the opportunity to apply.
Scholarship funds are awarded on a sliding scale, based on the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services poverty guidelines and the amount
of funds available.
The YMCA of South Palm Beach County seeks contributions from individuals,
foundations and corporations to fund our scholarships. More than $800,000
is needed annually. Gifts of any amount are welcome. Recognition is
provided throughout the year in our branches and annual report.
The YMCA of South Palm
Beach County is growing to better serve you! More than $10 million of our
$15 million goal has been raised to cover the costs of expanding,
renovating and building new, state-of-the-art facilities for our community
residents. The DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach opened in December
2000, and the renovation and expansion of the Peter Blum Family YMCA of
Boca Raton was completed in December, 2007.
Contributions to the Capital Campaign are needed to help the YMCA continue
to support the construction of its facilities. Gifts may be pledged over
three to five years. Permanent recognition is provided for pledges of
$1,000 or more. Contributions of $5,000 or more may be designated to
permanently name a piece of equipment or area of the facility.
Heritage Club –
YMCA Foundation of South Palm Beach County
By making a gift of a
portion of your accumulated wealth through charitable gift planning, you
become a member of the Heritage Club. Your gift will assist the YMCA in
supporting its programs and activities for many years to come. A gift to
the YMCA Foundation of South Palm Beach County through your estate can
provide significant support to the YMCA and may allow you to provide
contributions that could not have been made during your lifetime. Your
planned gift will perpetuate the YMCA programs and activities that you
value.
