Schipani Scholarship Winners from Pope John Paul II High School

Pope John Paul II High School is pleased to announce that for the 19th consecutive year, the YMCA of South Palm Beach County has awarded scholarships to two Pope John Paul II High School students.  The recipients of this year's $1500 scholarships are seniors Kelly Lynn Baird and Henry James Monaco IV. 

"Kelly and Henry exhibit a great devotion to the church, the community, and their education; we are so proud of their accomplishments," said Sister Eileen Sullivan, Principal of Pope John Paul II High School. "The Dr. William P. Schipani Scholarship reflects the values and principles we foster in our students at Pope John Paul II High School.  It is an honor that nearly forty of our students have been recipients of this award over the past 19 years."

Both Kelly and Henry have benefited from their local YMCAs in the past.  Kelly attended YMCA camps in her youth, and Henry played basketball at his local YMCA.  It is most fitting that these high school seniors should now receive scholarships which will be applied toward their college tuitions.
