YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program (ongoing; see Y branch for details on all upcoming classes)
The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a community-based lifestyle improvement program for adults with prediabetes. Its purpose is to empower adults with lasting lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health and reduce their chance of developing type 2 diabetes. It is a 12-month program consisting of 16 weekly sessions followed by 8 monthly maintenance sessions. Participants do not need to be YMCA members to participate.
