Inclusion Opportunities for Community Members with Challenges

Child/Caregiver Programs
Children with disabilities are welcome to join Squeaky Sneakers and Busy Bees. Arrangements can be made to include a therapist from Boca Raton Community Hospital for up to four classes

Squeaky Sneakers Gym

  • Designed for children, walking to 23 months old. 

  • Caregivers and children work together to enhance children’s social, emotional and physical development through movement education, art and music.

Busy Bees Gym (ages 2-3 years)

  • Movement education, art and music with caregiver participation, designed for toddlers.

Youth Programs
Our staff is available for your special needs child in the following programs:

After School

  • Operates from school dismissal to 6:30 p.m.

  • Youth ages 5 to 14 years old. 

  • Outdoor and indoor sports, homework time, arts and crafts, computers, recreational swimming and clubs.

  • Swimming lessons, dance lessons and Youth Sports are available for an additional fee.

  • Transportation from your child’s school may be provided

Teen Leaders Club

  • Safe place for social time with other teens.

  • Dedicated staff that help teens develop leadership skills, participate in service projects and refine employment skills. 

  • Special events and field trips take place throughout the year.

Teen Tune UP Club

  • Come “hang out” at the YMCA with your friends! 

  • Available to teens, ages 12-15, on the second and fourth Friday of every month from 7:30 to 10: 30 p.m.

  • Offers activities such as basketball, art classes, air hockey, juggling lessons, hair wraps, air brush tattoos, games and social time.

  • Dances are held monthly on Saturday nights from

  • 8:00 – 11:30 p.m. with a great DJ and lots of fun!

Adult Programs 

Friday Night Club

  • Social and recreational program for teens and adults with various disabilities. 

  • Participants remain at the YMCA from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Friday Night Live

  • Social and recreational program for teens and adults with less severe disabilities, who are higher functioning.

  • Participants go out every Friday night to the movies, dinner, dancing, etc.
