Infants & Toddlers

Squeaky Sneakers Gym (walking to 23 months old)

  • Child must be able to walk to participate.
  • Caregivers and children work together to enhance children’s social, emotional and physical development through movement education, art and music.

Busy Bees Gym (ages 2-3 years)
Movement education, art and music with caregiver participation designed for toddlers.

Swim Lessons Caregiver and Child (6 – 36 months old)    

  • Caregiver must be in the water with child.  
  • Lean water acclimation and safety.

Countess de Hoernle Youth Learning Center

  • Preschool (15 months – 5 years old)
  • Preschool education based on the child centered Reggio Emilia curriculum

Preschool Age Children

Y’s Little Owls (3-4 years old)

  • Children enjoy games, dramatic play, and basic tumbling.
  • Caregiver participation is not required.

YMCA Adventure Guides (4 years and older)
(Formerly known as the Y-Indian Guides Program)

  • This parent-child program is designed to help foster and strengthen the relationship between children and parents.
  • Groups of father & son/daughter and mother & son/daughter are developed according to geographic area and approximately 12 families are in each group.
  • Children, 4 years and older, may participate.

Swim Lessons Preschool (3-5 years old)

  • Maximum of 6 students per instructor.
  • Basic swim and water safety skills are learned

Dance

  • Kindertots (2 year olds)
    Designed to develop gross motor skills, movement creativity, physical development and body awareness.  Wednesday, 3:30 - 4:00p.m.
  • Kinderdance (3-5 years old)
    Developmental dance/movement and fitness program which includes the basics of ballet, tap and creative movement.  Wednesday, 2:30-3:15 and 4:15 - 5:00p.m.

Countess de Hoernle Youth Learning Center (15 months – 5 years old)

  • Preschool education based on the child centered
    Reggio Emilia curriculum.
  • Swim instruction for students, 3 years and older.
  • Provider of the state funded VPK program.
  • 5 day, 3 day, and 2 day programs available (2-5 years old).
  • Classrooms added renovated in 2006!

School Age Children

Judo (6 to 12 year olds)
Develops self-discipline and respect for oneself and others. It provides the means for learning self-confidence, concentration and leadership skills, as well as physical coordination, power and flexibility. Tuesday & Thursdays/5:30-6:30 p.m.

Sportfit (10-16 years old)
Our trainers will help participants be a step above the competition in his/her favorite sport(s).

Cardiovascular Orientation (10 –11 years old)

  • Learn how to safely use the cardiovascular equipment.
  • Upon completion, work out alongside your parent.

Youth Super Sports Leagues

  • Seasonal sports include: Soccer, Cheerleading, Basketball, Baseball and Flag Football
  • Saturday games.
  • Clinics and special sports events throughout the year.

Rookies Division – Ages 4-7

  • Designed to teach the fundamental skills of the game.
  • ˝ hour practice followed by ˝ hour game.

Winners Division – Ages 8-15

  • Value based competitive sports program.
  • One-hour weekday practice.
  • One-hour Saturday game.

Kindercombo (6-9 years old)
A combination of ballet, tap and modern dance program.  This give the young dance student a solid foundation on which to build his or her dance skills. Wednesday, 4:45 - 5:30p.m.

Hip Hop (6 - 17 years old)
Learn basic moves to pop, rock and soul music resulting in trendy routines.

Swim Lessons (6 years and older)

  • Seven levels/class groups provided.
  • Learn water safety and develop swimming skills.

Swim Team (5 years and older)
Competitive swim team.

Countess de Hoernle Youth Center
Y After School Program
(5- 14 years old)

  • Operates from school dismissal to 6:30 p.m.
  • Outdoor and indoor sports, homework time, arts and crafts, computers, recreational swimming and clubs.
  • Transportation from your child’s school may be provided.

Exceptional Child Program (5- 14 years old)
Inclusion Opportunities for Children with Challenges

  • Children with disabilities are invited to join all after school and camp programs.
  • Our staff is available for you and your special needs child.
  • Activities include homework time, games, sports, swimming and field trips.

Teens

Teen Cardio Kick and Tone (11-17 years old)
Fast paced, high-energy class that uses kicks, jabs, and punches for an exciting whole body workout.

Youth Sports Conditioning (7-18 years old)
Our trainers will help participants be a step above the competition in his/her favorite sport(s).

Strength and Conditioning Course (12 –15 years old)
Three- week course that is mandatory for members, ages 12-15, whom would like to use the fitness center.

Judo (13 years old to adult)

Junior Lifeguard Club (12-15 years old)

  • Offers such activities as water sports, water parks, waterfronts, marine biology, snorkeling and SCUBA, as well as volunteer opportunities at the YMCA.

Group Fitness Classes

  • Join with others who enjoy a good workout.
  • We offer a wide variety of group fitness classes some of which include, yoga, cycling, aerobics and aqua aerobics.

Running Club

  • Learn proper running mechanics and techniques.
  • Improve your running time, speed or endurance.
  • Socialize while getting fit and improving your performance.
  • Meets at the Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton.

Team YMCA

  • Social fitness club focused on making friends and having fun with others who share an interest in running and walking for health.
  • Meets at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach.

Masters Swim Team

  • Join other adults who love to spend time in the water.
  • Improve your stroke, speed and form.
  • Socialize while getting fit and improving your performance.
  • Meets at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach.

Adult Basketball League

  • 18 and Older
  • Full Court
  • 9 regular season games plus tournament

Massage Therapy

  • Increase blood circulation, promote relaxation, soothe aches and pains.
  • The YMCA offers an array of massages to help you ease the strain of a workout and relax from a long day.

Senior Wellness

  • YMCA staff provides guidance and support for recommended health and wellness activities
  • Organized field trips and outings for members 62 years and older.
  • Transportation provided to local attractions, movies, shopping, and cultural events.
  • Health education lectures and presentations.
  • Meets at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach.

Spirit of the Y

  • Social program that emphasizes volunteerism
  • Collaborate with your peers on YMCA special events
  • Meetings are held in the Association Office.

Friday Night Club

  • Social and recreational programs for teens and adults with various disabilities.
  • Participants remain at the YMCA from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Meets at the Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton.

Friday Night Live

  • Social and recreational program for teens and adults with less severe disabilities, who are higher functioning.
  • Participants go out every Friday night to the movies, dinner, dancing, etc.
  • Meets at the Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton.
