Here’s Y: Working Out Works For You @ the YMCA
The local Boynton Beach YMCA is an amazing place, with amenities ranging from the well-known aquatic area, their full gym, and even full aerobic area. Most gyms are bombarded with people, giving little flexibility to how you want to work out. To be unique, most places focus on one subject, whether that is endurance, strength or flexibility. At the YMCA, they combine all traits into one area that gives individuals the ability to cross-train unlike many local gyms. They even include amenities you may not be aware of such as Personal Training, Partner Training, Group Exercise, Performance Training, and Youth Fitness.
I recently toured the facility for the first time, and was amazed at how modern and updated the facilities were. Currently, I am an LA Fitness member, and in comparison, it is just as good if not better. The ability to train with more availability and variety should intrigue anyone looking to get in shape. Local gyms push their own methods and techniques, while the YMCA encourages individuality. Training isn’t just for a specific age either; with Youth Fitness, your son or daughter can learn the benefits of exercise from an early age. Not only can you work out, but your children can join in on all the fun as well. The motivation to join doesn’t stop there; with a variety of options for you and your family, the hours of operations works for everyone. Opening as early as 5:30am during the week days, it provides an opportunity for people to work out before work or school; then closing at 10pm, gives all families time to go after work or dinner.
Memberships at the YMCA come in a variety of different packages that can include you and your family. For individuals 18 years and older, a membership generally costs $56 / month, while family start at $95 / month. This includes access to all the amenities and activities that anyone would want or need. Financial assistance is available for those who request it, giving families the ability to join even when it may not fit in their budget. Through donations, the YMCA is able to provide access to all who want to join. Other discounts through the 20/20 Member Referral Program give other ways to help with your membership. This is all why: Working out works for you at the YMCA.
