Dance and Fitness Programs
Kindercombo (6-9 years old)
A combination of ballet, tap and modern dance program. This give the young dance student a solid foundation on which to build his or her dance skills. Wednesday, 4:45 - 5:30 p.m.  
 
Hip Hop (6 - 17 years old)

Learn basic moves to pop, rock and soul music resulting in trendy routines.  
 
“Girls on the Move” (12 to 15 years old)"A non-competitive "girls only" fitness class designed to instill healthy habits and a life long love of exercise. A variety of activities will keep this class fresh and fun.  
 
Aquatics 
Barracuda Land Training (12 to 15 years old) Specifically developed to compliment Barracuda swim team pool training, this class is designed to improve endurance, develop core strength and increase flexibility.   Great class for swim team participants but is open to any teen looking to improve their fitness level while having fun.
 
Swim Lessons (6 years and older)
  • Seven levels/class groups provided.
  • Learn water safety and develop swimming skills.
 
Barracuda Swim Team (5 years and older)
Competitive swim team.

Youth Programming
(5- 14 years old) 
 
Youth Programming at the YMCA: Programming available for children grades K - 8 (depending on the day) and will include SPARK (Sports Play and Active Recreation for Kids) as well as various sports, games and dance. The child will also have an hour of swimming in the pool, as well as Family inclusive activities each Friday night.  
 
Gymminie Kids – Grades K-2
Hey kids looking for some fun? Parents are you looking for an amazing place for the kids? Join the group as we jump, crawl, wiggle and run our way to a fun-filled healthy lifestyle. Participants will enjoy an hour of action packed games that show your children they can be healthy and have the time of their life.  
 
Martial Arts
Our Martial Arts program gives children the mental and physical skills to succeed in everything they do. These classes are challenging and fun while we encourage every child to strive to do their personal best. In addition to physical skills that will increase strength, coordination and flexibility, we teach life skills such as discipline, goal setting, confidence, leadership and respect. Students learn to see and achieve goals, while building self esteem in a fun, safe and educational atmosphere. 
 
Hip-Hop: This class offers the latest dance moves, steps and techniques. The focus is on having fun as well as learning rhythm, counts and tempo. 
 
Sports Clinic: Kids will receive special instruction from our Sports Director as we teach skills and fundamentals while playing games and having fun. Sports will include basketball and soccer.
 
Chase Donoff Exceptional Child Program: (5- 14 years old)
The Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton is proud to offer a variety of programs for children, teens, and adults with special needs. Through the extreme generosity of the Donoff family, Chase’s Place is growing into a place for everyone!
 
We are proud to offer:
 
After School Program: This program is for children in kindergarten through high school. Children are able to participate in games, crafts, recreation and inclusion activities.
 
Chase Donoff Special Needs Summer Camp:
Campers participate in field trips, crafts, special events, swimming, and numerous inclusion opportunities throughout the summer.
 
Friday Night Live: FNL is a social program for young adults. Participants along with YMCA staff go out every Friday night! Destinations include the movies, bowling, dancing, and much more.
 
Friday Night Club: Older adults are given the opportunity to gather together at the YMCA for fun and exciting events. This program is chaperoned by two YMCA staff members and includes activities such as bingo, dances, craft projects, and fitness nights.

YMCA Adventure Guides (4 years and older)
(Formerly known as the Y-Indian Guides Program)
Designed to help foster and strengthen the relationship between children and parents.
Groups of father & son/daughter and mother & son/daughter are developed according to geographic area. Approximately 12 families are in each group.

Kids Night Out
 
Drop off the kids for a fun-filled night at the Peter Blum Family YMCA! Enjoy a night out on the town while kids enjoy a Pool Party (weather permitting) Pizza, Games, and Movie! It’s non-stop fun all night long.
 
Time: 6 p.m.- 10 p.m.
Cost:
Members: $30 first child/ $15 additional child
Non-Members: $50 first child/ $25 additional child
Ages: 4- 11 years only
 
Kids night are held every 4th Friday of the Month (program may change due to holidays).

BOYNTON BEACH  
 
Afternoon Adventures - Kindergarten through 5th grade
This program is for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, during the afterschool hours. Children are able to participate in games, study hall, sports, fitness classes, crafts, recreation and group activities. (Transportation provided from some local schools.)
 
Kids Night Out - 4 - 11 years old
Drop off the kids for a fun-filled night at the DeVos-Blum Famly Y! Enjoy a night out on the town while the kids enjoy swimming, pizza, games and a movie! It's non-stop fun all night long. Kids Nights are held the 3rd Friday of the month. (program may change due to holidays.)
Time: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Ballet (K - 2nd grades)
Learn basic positions and movements of ballet. 

Family Fitness
Have fun exercising as a family! We now offer a specialized program that proves that exercise can be enjoyable and beneficial for all. Bring health and wellness to everyone while learning exciting methods and techniques that will engage the entire family with everyday exercise. Come out and strengthen your family bonds while strengthening each other.

Swim Lessons
Swimming and safety skills are taught in a group setting. Parents do not accompany their swimmer into the pool; however they are welcome and encouraged to stay and observe all classes. Lessons are divided into smaller sub groups according to ability.

Competitive swim team.
 
 
Tap & Ballet
Developmental dance program which includes the basics of ballet, tap and creative movement.

Capoeira: It's a Martial Art! It's a Dance! It's totally Brazilian. It relieves stress, builds strength, coordination and self confidence. 
 
Kids Zumba: (ages 4 - 12 years)
Zumba fuses latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness party.  Children will not get bored as they dance to routines which feature interval training sessions.  Routines incorporate Latin and international dances such as salsa, mambo, cha cha, meringue, and more!!!!
