Personal Training
 
The Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton is here to help improve the health and wellness of your spirit, mind and body. We offer a variety of personal training options to meet your individual needs and to assist you on your journey to living a healthier, happier life. Our personal trainers are all nationally certified and ready to create an individualized exercise program that will meet your specific needs and goals, whether you are a novice exerciser, training for a specific sport or you just need some motivation to get your exercise program on track. Our training philosophy is simple: we want to help you reach your fitness goals by providing you with the motivation, knowledge and support that will ultimately make you a successful and independent exerciser.
 
Small Group Training:
Makes fitness affordable and fun, while providing accountability, encouragement, education and social support. Sessions may be purchased for two-four participants at one time.
 
Pilates Reformer:
Allows you to work one-on-one with a highly experienced, certified Pilates personal trainer who will custom design a program specific to your needs and fitness goals. By using the “Allegro” reformer you will condition your body from head to toe with a no-impact approach suitable for all ages and abilities.

Group Fitness Classes
 
Boot Camp:
is a results-driven conditioning program that runs twice weekly, at 60 minute durations per session. It is conducted in an outdoor environment, utilizing a military style format, coupled with the most progressive, innovative and creative exercises in fitness. A great way to get individualized attention while learning to enhance your health and perfect your routine.
 
Running Clinic:
Meets the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Get valuable tips, techniques and exercises to achieve muscular balance and perfect your stride.  Class is led by a Palm Beach County School certified track coach.

Aquatic Fitness
 
Build endurance and tone muscles, while enjoying a fun and social workout in the pool.
 
Deep Water:
Traditional deep water aqua fitness moves will strengthen your cardiovascular system, improve your core strength and tone your muscles. Aqua belts are used to suspend and support you in the deep water.
  
Movement Disorder:
Specifically designed for persons with symptoms of Parkinson's disease, this shallow water class is open to all members who want to improve posture, strength and balance. Exercises targeted to improve slowness of movements, balance and muscle rigidity.
  
Shallow Water:
Improve cardiovascular fitness, core strength, stability and flexibility. This is a cardiovascular aerobic class in the shallow water. Water dumbbells and noodles are used to assist your workout.
  
Water Walking:
This class is designed to cater to people with physical limitations and for anyone looking to workout in the water at their own pace. Instructor lead exercises focus on increased range of motion, core and joint stability, balance and flexibility and improved muscular strength.
 

Youth Fitness
 
Youth Strength (12 to 15 years of age)
In this class, your child will learn the basics of anatomy, physiology, nutrition and weight training. The course concludes with a written and practical test. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be permitted to use the fitness center without parental supervision.
 
Young  Yogis (5 to 12 years old)
The physical benefits of yoga for children include improved flexibility and coordination but that’s just the beginning.  Practicing yoga can also improve your child’s ability to focus, concentrate and listen as well as enhancing your child’s self confidence.
 

Youth Dance
 
Hip Hop (K-2nd & 3rd through 5th grade)
This class offers the latest dance moves, steps, and techniques. The focus is on having fun as well as learning rhythm, counts and tempo.
 
Kindertots (2 years of age)
designed to develop gross motor skills, movement creativity, physical development and body awareness.
 
Kinderdance (3 to 5 years of age)
  • Level 1: Developmental dance/movement program which includes the basics of ballet, tap and creative movement. 
  • Level 2: More advanced class open to any child who has participated in level 1 or other dance program for a minimum of nine months.

Parent/Child Fitness

Enhance your child’s social, emotional and physical development through movement education, art and music.
 
Squeaky Sneakers Gym:
Parents with children walking to 23 months old.
 
Busy Bees Gym:
Parents and children 24 to 35 months old.
 
Y's Little Owls:
Children ages 3-4 years old.
 

Massage

Relax, de-stress, and relieve muscle tension and tightness with a 25 or 50 minute massage.  Our licensed massage therapists can provide a wide variety of massage modalities including Swedish, pre-natal, deep tissue and sports massages.  You can reach us at 561-395-9622 to make an appointment.
