The YMCA of the USA’s swim lesson program provides students with over 350 swimming and safety skills, such as personal safety, stroke development and knowledge of water sports. Our programs teach aquatic safety while allowing the student to adjust to the water at their own pace. For additional information contact Jennifer Gleason at jgleason@ymcaspbc.org

Special Needs Swimming Program
The main goal of the special needs small group program is to teach an individual with a disability how to safely enjoy the aquatic environment. Instruction in aquatic skills facilitates safe enjoyment of the water and we hope that instruction and activities will improve the person' well-being. All of our instructors are certified YMCA lifeguards, and have gone through over 24 hours of special YMCA certification trainings in working with people with disabilities and teaching them to swim. For more information, contact Ozzie Quevedo oquevedo@ymcaspbc.org
