Membership Director

General Function

Working under the direction of the Executive Director, in collaboration with a dedicated team of Family Center staff, and operations professionals, and as an Exempt employee, your primary responsibility will be to support the Association’s objective of membership growth and member retention through leadership of the membership activities for a full facility YMCA.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct all sales and operations of membership for the Family Center including sales, retention, operations and supervision of staff
• Creating and managing a monthly staff schedule
• Hiring, training, evaluating and supervising assigned staff and volunteers
• Employs strategies to increase member engagement by staff
• Responsible for reviewing and reconciling daily cash reports, membership applications and all other policies and forms as it relates to a successful Member Services Desk
• Develop, monitor and be accountable for meeting or exceeding budget
• Manage and train staff following the procedures established with the tour board

School Age Child Care Counselor & Camp Counselor
This position will be responsible for planning activities while at the same time interacting with the children. This position requires that you assist the Youth Program Coordinator and Director of Youth Programs in the daily operations of the Child Care Program (After-School and Camps). Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Association Director of Youth and Family Services, the Program Coordinator assists in a variety of functions including communication, planning, marketing and evaluation of the After School and Summer Day Camp programs at the Family Center. The Program Coordinator supports participation and retention by assisting in the planning and execution of the After School and Summer Day Camp programs to achieve strategic goals and provide outstanding customer service to all students and parents. Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton
Preschool Gym / Parent & Child Gym Instructor
(Part time position)

This position requires an individual with an early childhood education background.  Responsibilities include planning for and implementing physical education classes for preschoolers and parent/child gym classes.  Music and movement, coordination skills and general physical health and wellness are the focus of this active and fun program.   Swim Instructor
Certified YSL or WSI swim instructors are needed. YMCA swim classes are offered Monday through Thursday 3:30pm-7:00pm, Tuesday/Thursdays 9:30-11:30am, Monday/Wednesday mornings, and Saturday mornings. We are seeking qualified, dedicated, and energetic instructors who love working with children and adults.

This position will be responsible for performing routine maintenance including electrical repairs, carpentry, plumbing and minor pool equipment maintenance and repair.

Job Requirements
• Electrical, carpentry and plumbing knowledge and experience
• Certification/licenses in electrical, plumbing and carpentry is a definite plus
• Experience with housekeeping functions

Lead Preschool Teacher
Lead Preschool Teacher for VPK classroom needed. Individual will be responsible for implementing the Creative Curriculum. This individual must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and goals of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County; must have attained a Bachelor’s/Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a CDA; A 40 hour child care course is required to be started within 3 months of employment and 10 in-service hours per year of continuing education courses must also be completed.

Teachers Assistant (Co-Teacher)
Position needed for Pre-school. This individual must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and goals of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County; must have a minimum of one year’s experience with young children. 45 hour child care course is required for employment and 45 in-service hours of continuing education courses will be required each year thereafter.

Aquatics Coordinator: Part-time Position
This position will be responsible for assisting the Aquatics Director with lifeguarding, instructing and administrative and clerical functions thereby ensuring the successful operations and growth of the Aquatics Department. In addition, this position will be responsible for running holiday camps and building and creating a NEW and successful Aquatic program.  
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 4 year college degree preferred
• A minimum of 12 months Aquatic Supervisory experience is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Hiring and Interviewing skills
• Ability to oversee and direct aquatic staff
• Payroll knowledge and skills is a definite plus
• Computer and keyboard skills
• Must pass pre-hire skills test
• Applicant must be punctual and must be able to arrive to work at least
     15 minutes before scheduled shift
• Must display, at all times, the Y values of caring, honesty, responsibility and respect
The following certifications are required for this position:
Current Lifeguard/CPR-PR certification, First Aid Certification, Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) certification, Oxygen Management certification, Preventing Disease Transmission certification, Fundamentals of Swimming, Parent/Child and Pre-school Instruction and Youth and Adult II Instruction

Junior Accountant
Position Summary

Primary responsibilities of this position include a full range of accounting duties to include, but not limited to: managing the accounts payable process including, tracking of purchase orders, invoices and cash disbursements; monthly credit card purchase reconciliations; preparation of journal entries; reconciliation of month and year-end reports; preparation of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation.
